Jin ZHAO was born in Hubei Province, China, in 1967. He received the B.E. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Control Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology(HUST), Wuhan, China, in 1987, 1994, respectively. Since 2004, he has been a Full Professor at the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation, HUST. During 2001-2002, he was a Visiting Scholar at the Power Electronics Research Laboratory, University of Tennessee, Knoxville, TN, USA. He is engaged in research and applications of power electronics, electrical drives, fault diagnosis, and intelligent control. He is the author and co-author of more than 100 publications, as well as the owner of 7 patents. He has written one teaching material and translated a book.
