On May 15th , the Third Competition of Class Song Chorus and Class Clothing Design was held in Yun Yuan Gymnasium. Twenty-four undergraduate classes participated in this competition. Shu Kong, Deputy Party Secretary of School of Automation, headteacher Li Kong, Sheng Zhong, Yuehuan Wang, Pu Zhang, Huijin Fan, Feng Wei, Jun Zhang, Yihua Tan, Yang Chen, Dingfu Zheng and all counsellors served as the judge of the competition.
A heart-stirring song, ‘Stubbornness’, performed by class 1505 declared the opening of the competition. Class 1404 chose ‘We're All in This Together’ as their class song. The warm and lively rhythm was full of the breath of youth, showing the vigor and vitality of young people. Class 1402, which are consisted of national defense students whose major are measurement and control, presented the ‘Battle Song in Army’. With sonorous melodies and passionate songs, these students expressed their firm determination and lofty aspirations, which won unanimous praise. Next, Class 1506 sang ‘Light’ for the audience, bringing the atmosphere of whole competition to a climax. With loud and clear singing, students in class 1506 showed their pursuit and longing for dreams and earned loud applause from the audience. At last, the competition came to an end in the warm and lively rehearsal sidelights of each class.
It is learned that the Competition of Class Song Chorus and Class Clothing Design is the characteristic activity of our school to exhibit class features. It has been held for three years. This activity helps classes enhance cohesion, establishes the sense of honor, improves exchanges between teachers and students, and provides an opportunity for every student to show himself.
