The Department of Automatic Control mainly supports the subject ofControl Theory and Control Engineering.
History
The Department was established on the mergerof the former Institute of Control Science and Automation, Institute of Control and Information Technology, and Institute of Intelligence and Control Engineering. Its predecessor is the Department of Automatic Control of Huazhong Institute of Technology which was established in 1973.
One of itsmajors, Control Theory and Control Engineering, has been one of the first majors with the right to grant master's degrees and doctor's degrees in China.
It has an excellent reputation in the field of automation and has trained a large number of high-level professionals, researchers and engineers.
The goal of the department is to establish a world-class automatic control innovation research platform and become an incubator forhigh-level professionals in the field of automatic control.
