Prof. Quan YIN was born in Jiangsu province, China in 1968. He has received Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Industrial Automation from HUST in 1990 and 1995, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in the field of power electronics and drives from the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation of HUST in 2001. He carried out post-doctoral research in the department of Opto-Electronic at HUST from 2001to 2004.
He has been an Associate Professor and Professor in School of  Automation, HUST in 2004 and 2016, respectively. His research interests include renewable energy systems, power electronics, electric machines and drives, and applications of intelligent control in energy systems. He has recently undertaken lots of projects from the National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC), Major National Science and Technology Projects, and industrial funds. With the support of projects and funds, he has contributed more than50 technical papers (more than 20 of them indexed by SCI and EI ) and R&D reports, and a textbook(Fundamentals of motor and electric drive, Huazhong University of Science and Technology Press).
